Happy Sunday! A few days ago we loaded up our three frequent flyers and headed to Missouri for one last visit before school starts on September 4. I am so glad we have a few extra weeks of summer left. We have been eating KC BBQ, hitting the STL zoo, picnic-ing in Forest Park, playing in the wide open spaces on the farm, and basking in the 75 degree weather. My kids have been outside non-stop and it has been very refreshing coming from the Texas heat! Upon deplaning my oldest exclaimed, "It is a dream come true!" It is safe to say she misses Missouri and all that comes with it pretty terribly.
My brother is also coming home from a long flight surgery deployment in Afghanistan. He will land in San Diego this week and we are all celebrating!
